Wave Clone ist ein Windows multimedia tool programmiert von Eugene Muzychenko, es erlaubt Wave (MME) Treiber auf mehrere Anwendungen zu verteilen. Viele Sound Treiber unterstützen nur einen Ausgang oder Eingang (single-client) der nur in einer Anwendung benutzt werden kann. Mit Wave Clone ist es möglich von einem single-client einen multi-client in realtime zu generrieren. So ist es möglich, einen Ausgang z.B. vom Logic, Nuendo, VST ... zuklonen und Ihn auf mehrere Anwendungen zuverteilen. Auch umgekeht kann ein Eingang z.B ADAT oder Mehrspur Anwendungen, geklont werden, sodas die Aufnahme Software wie gewohnt arbeitet, aber zusätzlich noch mehrere Anwendungen den Eingang aufnehmen können. (Backup in Realtime !!!).

Wave Clone kann jeden Treiber in Ihrem System klonen, und unendlich viele Anwendungen können auf diese geklonten Treiber gleichzeitig zugreifen.

Sampling rate (44,1 kHz, 96 kHz, 192 kHz) und Anzahl der Kanäle ist nur durch den Host Treiber limitiert. Sample size 16 bit, 24 bit, 32 bit.

Hier wurde der Ausgang von Logic geklont und als Eingang in unserem SAP Live 3.8 benutzt. So ist es möglich unsere Software wie ein VST oder DirectX Plugin zunutzen, ohne in der Host Anwendung System Ressourcen zuverschwänden.

You can use any mirror port with any application which works with MME (Wave) audio devices. The mirror ports have an asterisk ('*') prefix in their names. Each mirror port is multi-client, allowing unlimited number of applications (clients) to use the port at same time.

In current Wave Clone version, the driver/server communications are implemented using the Windows messages. It means that intensive working with windows at your desktop can cause some clicks and pops in the sound stream.

It is not recommended to use DirectSound ports that are emulated over Wave Clone mirror ports. Such ports have the asterisk in the beginning of their names and word "(emulated)" in the end. Using these ports can cause excessive system loading and side-effects.

In der demo version von Wave Clone gelten folgende Einschränkungen:

  • Support von nur einem Eingang und Ausgang
  • Nach drei Minuten beim Aufnehmen oder Abspielen, wird dem Audio Signal ein Rauschen hinzugefügt!!!

  • All PCM sound formats supported by the host (cloned) ports. Sampling rate and number of channels are limited only by host port features. Sample size is limited to 32 bits.
  • Unlimited number of clients connected to each port.
